Who we are
Balkan Roots Living is operated by Kanja LLC. For privacy questions, contact balkanrootsliving@gmail.com.
Contacting us
The contact form prepares an email in your own email application. The website does not submit or store form entries. If you choose to send an email, the information you include is shared with us through your email provider so we can respond.
Email updates
When you subscribe, we save your email address, optional name, consent date, and subscription status so Kanja LLC can send the updates you requested. You can unsubscribe using the personal link in an update, or by emailing us. Subscriber records are kept privately and are not displayed on this website.
Videos and external services
Video thumbnails are provided by YouTube. A YouTube video player loads only after you choose to watch a video. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed domain. YouTube and other external platforms may collect information according to their own policies when you use their content or follow a link.
Analytics and cookies
We have not added advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or website cookies. We use local browser storage to remember if you dismissed the subscribe popup or subscribed, so we do not keep interrupting your visit. The hosting provider may process technical information necessary to serve and protect the website. Third-party video players and linked services operate under their own privacy policies.
We also remember your language choice and whether you have seen our welcome animation using local browser storage.
Affiliate links
Our Expedia travel link is an affiliate link. We may earn a commission when you book through it. Affiliate links are labeled on the page.
Your information
You may contact us to ask about, correct, or request deletion of personal information you have shared with us, subject to any retention obligations that apply.
